NQ3 stop ring is also one part of core sample breaking operation. NQ3 stop ring is used together with NQ3  core lifter and NQ3 core lifter case. The main function of NQ3 stop ring is to stop the NQ3 core lifter move upwards when the core sample goes into the NQ3 inner tube and stop the NQ3 split tube goes into NQ3 core lifter case.

NQ3 stop rings are made of high-quality alloy steel and are specially heat treated to increase strength, toughness and wear life.
