HQ landing ring is a part of HQ outer tube assembly. HQ landing ring sits in the upper-end of the HQ outer tube and is retained by the HQ adapter coupling. When the HQ inner tube assembly puts into the drill rod, the HQ landing shoulder of the HQ head assembly impacts the HQ landing ring setting the HQ inner tube assembly into right position.

HQ landing ring is made of high-quality alloy steel that is specially heat treated for improved impact toughness and durability.
