PQ3 core lifter case is one part of core sample breaking operation. PQ3 core lifter case is used together with PQ3 core lifter and PQ3 stop ring. PQ3 core lifter case has tapered socket mate to PQ3 core lifter. When the PQ3 split tube is full of core sample, the drill string if lifted off the bottom of the hole, the core sample will be broken by the PQ3 core lifter and PQ3 core lifter case grip function.
Standard PQ3 core lifter cases are made of high-quality alloy steel and are heat treated to increase strength, toughness and wear life.
