HQ core lifter case is one part of core sample breaking operation. HQ core lifter case is used together with HQ core lifter and HQ stop ring. HQ core lifter case has tapered socket mate to HQ core lifter. When the HQ inner-tube is full of core sample, the drill string if lifted off the bottom of the hole, the core sample will be broken by the HQ core lifter and HQ core lifter case grip function.
Standard HQ core lifter cases are made of high-quality alloy steel and are heat treated to increase strength, toughness and wear life.
